Celtic manager Neil Lennon feels that the club have been the pride of Scotland during their Champions League campaign this season.

The Bhoys have beaten Barcelona during their run in the competition and face Juventus in the second leg of their last-16 tie on Wednesday.

Lennon's side trail 3-0 to the Serie A champions from the first leg, but the Northern Irishman has said that they have done their country "proud" with their performances throughout the campaign.

"They have excelled, absolutely excelled, and they have done the club and Scotland proud," Lennon told reporters.

"Barcelona, Benfica... to have those nights back at Celtic Park has been truly memorable for me. And going up against the best teams in the world, the best coaches in the world, has been a fantastic experience for a group of players who are relatively young in their careers and who haven't cost a lot of money."

Celtic currently lead the Scottish Premier League by 16 points.
