How Juventus could line up against SPAL

Sports Mole looks at how Juventus could line up in Saturday's Serie A clash with SPAL.

Juventus will continue their 2019-20 Serie A campaign with a trip to struggling SPAL this weekend.

The Old Lady reclaimed first position in the table courtesy of a 2-0 win over Brescia last time out and currently sit one point clear of second-placed Lazio at the summit.

Maurizio Sarri's side will be looking for their 19th league victory of the season on Saturday and will fancy their chances of beating a team that is rooted to the bottom of the table on 15 points.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the Italian champions could line up in this match.

POSS JUVE XI vs. SPAL

Out: Leonardo Bonucci (suspension), Miralem Pjanic (hip), Douglas Costa (muscle), Sami Khedira (knee), Merih Demiral (knee)

Juve will be unable to call upon key centre-back Leonardo Bonucci this weekend due to suspension, while Miralem Pjanic, Douglas Costa, Sami Khedira and Merih Demiral are all out injured.

Giorgio Chiellini made his first appearance since the opening weekend of the season against Brescia last time out, but the 35-year-old is unlikely to be thrown straight in as Bonucci's replacement.

As a result, Daniele Rugani should keep his spot in central defence with Matthijs de Ligt returning to play alongside him, while Aaron Ramsey should earn another start in midfield ahead of Blaise Matuidi.

Cristiano Ronaldo was rested against Brescia, but the Portugal international should return to the XI for this match, while Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala could again both earn starts in the final third.

Juan Cuadrado featured further forward last weekend but could drop into the right-back position for this match, with former Manchester City defender Danilo expected to miss out.
