Southampton are preparing a £2m bid for Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella, according to a report.
The Italy international, who has won 25 caps for his country, has scored three goals in 16 appearances this season.
With Saints striker Pablo Osvaldo currently on loan at the Turin club, manager Mauricio Pochettino is eager to finalise a deal for Quagliarella, The Mirror reports.
However, the South-Coast club could face competition for his signature, with Lazio director Igli Tare recently revealing that he is planning talks with Quagliarella in the summer.
