The Los Angeles Galaxy are reportedly eyeing Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Michael Ballack as a replacement for David Beckham.
The 36-year-old is expected to leave the Galaxy in January after his contract expires following a five-year stay at the club.
Meanwhile, the MLS outfit – who have also been linked with Didier Drogba – have identified Ballack as their ideal big-name signing to replace the former Manchester United man, according to The People.
Ballack, who returned to the Bundesliga in 2010 following four seasons with Chelsea, will once again be out of a contract this summer.
