The High Court has confirmed that it will hear the winding-up petition against Leeds United on March 17.
The Championship club's shirt sponsor Enterprise Insurance recently filed the petition due to an alleged unpaid debt.
The company, which is based in Gibraltar, lent Leeds £1.7m in 2012 at an interest rate of 7% for repayment next year.
Enterprise Insurance's managing director Andrew Flowers was part of a consortium that tried to take over the club last month.
However, Italian businessman Massimo Cellino is expected to be named the new owner after agreeing to buy a 75% stake in Leeds last weekend, subject to approval from the Football Association.
