Team News: Ross McCormack passed fit for Leeds United

Ross McCormack hands Leeds United boss Brian McDermott a boost by shrugging off a hip injury to start up front against managerless Wigan Athletic tonight.

Leeds United boss Brian McDermott has the luxury of naming in-form Ross McCormack in his starting lineup for the visit of Wigan Athletic to Elland Road tonight.

McCormack, who has hit 12 Championship goals for the Whites this season, sustained a hip injury in the 1-0 defeat to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

However, the 27-year-old has shaken off the knock which had reportedly placed his participation in jeopardy.

McDermott makes just one change following the loss to Rovers, with Matt Smith replacing Luke Varney.

Meanwhile, the Latics' stand-in coaches Graham Barrow and Sandy Stewart have named four changes to the Wigan team in the wake of Owen Coyle's departure after the 3-1 defeat to Derby County on Sunday.

Scott Carson returns from a six-week lay-off to replace Lee Nicholls in goal, while James Perch comes in for Stephen Crainey at full-back.

Elsewhere, Chris McCann and Jean Beausejour are also afforded starting berths, as Nick Powell and Will Keane retain their selection as the focal point of the visitors' attack.

Leeds United: Kenny; Lees, Zaliukas, Pearce, Peltier; Murphy, Mowatt, Pugh, Austin; McCormack, Smith

Wigan Athletic: Carson; Barnett, Ramis, Perch, Boyce; Watson, McArthur, McCann, Beausejour; Powell, Keane
