Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has revealed that Luciano Becchio will not return to the club this month.
The Norwich City striker's agent recently confirmed that his client was eager to return to Elland Road, where he spent five years before he left for Norfolk in 2013.
However, despite expressing his affection for the Argentine, Cellino has insisted that Becchio "is the past and we are concerned about the future".
"We love Becchio and made a big mistake when we let him go. But now it's too late," The Sun quotes the Italian as saying.
"He is not the same player he was three years ago and Leeds is not the same club."
Becchio has failed to score in any of his 13 appearances for the Canaries.
