Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has suggested that Uwe Rosler made mistakes in the transfer market during his time in charge of Wigan Athletic.
Rosler succeeded Neil Redfearn as Leeds head coach last month, which is his first managerial post since being sacked by Wigan in November last year.
The German signed Oriol Riera and Andy Delort for the Latics last summer, but Cellino says that Rosler should not have gone through with the deals.
"Delort – I was signing him but after 65 seconds I got up from my chair and walked away, because they were looking just for the big deal. He came here just to take the money," Cellino told The Mirror.
"He also made a mistake with the Spanish one, too. If Uwe had been my coach, I would have said, 'Be careful, we will take a one-year loan with a right to buy because that first year is very important. Otherwise we do not buy him.'
"That's the experience you need to cover your coaches, and I will give Uwe my full support."
Rosler has also managed Molde and Brentford during his career.
