A reported transfer for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Kevin Doyle to Leeds United is believed to have been withdrawn due to wage issues.

Leeds United have reportedly given up on trying to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Kevin Doyle due to wage issues.

The 29-year-old had been linked with a possible move to Elland Road from struggling Wolves, who recently appointed Dean Saunders as the club's new manager.

Despite these reports, it is believed that Leeds are unwilling to meet Doyle's wage demands and any potential move is expected to be quashed, according to the Express & Star.

Doyle has been playing for Wolves since moving to Molineux from Reading in 2009.
