Leeds United have confirmed that goalkeeper Marco Silvestri has joined Italian side Hellas Verona on a permanent deal.
The 26-year-old returns to Serie A three-and-a-half years after arriving at Elland Road from Cagliari Calcio.
Silvestri started 88 league games for Leeds in that time, but the recent signing of Felix Wiedwald from Werder Bremen left him the club's third-choice keeper.
A statement on the Leeds website read: "We would like to thank Marco for his services and wish him good luck in the future. Fellow United goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell has now linked up with the first team squad in Austria."
Before joining Leeds, Silvestri came through the ranks at Modena and then Chievo Verona, also spending periods out on loan with Reggiana, Padova and Cagliari.
