Martin O'Neill is reportedly in line for a return to Leicester City if the club fail to make the Championship playoffs.
Foxes boss Nigel Pearson's job is in jeopardy after the club slipped out of the playoff places and now need to win on the final day of the season and hope that results go in their favour to finish in the top six.
O'Neill was in charge at Leicester for four-and-a-half-years and guided the club to the Premier League as well as two League Cup final victories.
A source told The Mirror: "Martin is available and the club's owners are very much aware of his achievements here before and that he is revered by Leicester fans, who consider him to be their most successful manager."
O'Neill was recently sacked by Sunderland after just 16 months in charge at the Stadium of Light.
