Claudio Ranieri: 'No regrets over Leicester City squad rotation'

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri suggests that he has no regrets about rotating his players after the Foxes lost 4-2 against Chelsea in the EFL Cup.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has said that it is important for every member of his first-team squad to "grow" this season.

Ranieri regularly named the same starting lineup during their surprise Premier League triumph last season but he made seven alterations to his team for the EFL Cup clash with Chelsea on Tuesday evening.

The Foxes slumped to a 4-2 defeat to the Blues at the King Power Stadium, but Ranieri has insisted that he has no regrets about tinkering with his team.

The Italian told Sky Sports News:: "I wanted to see players who are not used to playing because for me, it is also important to grow all the squad, not only 14 players.

"Tonight, I watch very well Zieler, Ben Chilwell, Demarai Gray, Jeffrey Schlupp come back. It's ok."

Leicester return to action on Saturday when they travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.
