Team News: Riyad Mahrez fit to start for Leicester City

Riyad Mahrez is passed fit to start for Leicester City against Newcastle United at the King Power Stadium.

Riyad Mahrez has been included in the Leicester City starting lineup for tonight's clash against Newcastle United.

The Algerian winger has been suffering with a hamstring strain of late, but he has shaken that off to feature at the King Power Stadium.

Mahrez's availability means that manager Claudio Ranieri has opted to stick with the same side that claimed a 1-0 win from their trip to Watford last time out.

Meanwhile, new Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez has made two alterations to his side.

Vurnon Anita and Aleksandar Mitrovic have both been recalled, while the injured Paul Dummett drops out and Emmanuel Riviere finds himself among the substitutes.

On top of that, January signing Jonjo Shelvey has retained the captain's armband in the continued absence of Fabricio Coloccini.

Leicester City: Schmeichel; Simpson, Huth, Morgan, Fuchs; Mahrez, Kante, Drinkwater, Albrighton; Okazaki, Vardy
Subs: Schwarzer, Wasilewski, Amartey, Inler, Gray, Schlupp, Ulloa

Newcastle United: Elliot; Janmaat, Taylor, Lascelles, Colback; Sissoko, Anita, Shelvey, Wijnaldum, Perez; Mitrovic
Subs: Darlow, Sterry, Saivet, Townsend, De Jong, Riviere, Doumbia
