Zoumana Bakayogo returns to Leicester City with ACL rupture

Defender Zoumana Bakayogo returns to his parent club Leicester City after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in his first appearance for Yeovil Town.

Zoumana Bakayogo has returned to his parent club Leicester City after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in his first appearance for Yeovil Town on Saturday.

The 27-year-old defender came off after 37 minutes at Birmingham City after appearing to catch his studs in the turf with no-one around him.

"Zoumana said he just felt his knee crumble under him. It was innocuous - he just turned and he felt it," Yeovil manager Gary Johnson told the club's official website.

Johnson admitted that he may now have to go after another left-back because of the injury problems that he has in that position.
