Leicester City manager Sven Goran Eriksson has confirmed that Emile Heskey has turned down a chance to return to the club.
The Swedish boss was keen to take the former England international to the King Power Stadium this summer, but has revealed that he may have to wait 12 months to secure his target.
"I spoke to Emile Heskey a month ago and asked him if he wanted to come to us and the answer was 'not for now, maybe next season'," said Eriksson.
Heskey, 33, began his career with Leicester in 1994 before moves to Liverpool, Birmingham City, Wigan Athletic and Aston Villa.
