Riyad Mahrez is reportedly wanted by Italian club Inter Milan, potentially driving up the Leicester City winger's valuation.
The Foxes have already knocked back multiple bids for the Egypt international, who has made clear to boss Craig Shakespeare that he wants out of the King Power Stadium.
Roma have been at the front of the queue to sign Mahrez since Arsenal withdrew their interest last month, but The Mirror reports that the Giallorossi now face competition from domestic rivals Inter.
It is claimed that, despite sporting director Monchi stating this week that he remains "optimistic" of recruiting the 26-year-old, Roma are prepared to turn their attention elsewhere after their latest £32m bid was knocked back.
Leicester are understood to be holding out for close to £50m for the man voted PFA Player of the Year in 2015-16, though Inter are also unlikely to bow to the Foxes' demands.
