Leicester City are reportedly close to sealing a deal to sign Inter Milan and Argentina legend Esteban Cambiasso.
The 34-year-old is a free agent after failing to earn a new contract at San Siro, bringing the curtain down on a 10-year spell with the Nerazzurri in the process.
Nevertheless, according to The Mirror, manager Nigel Pearson is poised to make a significant coup for the Foxes by signing Cambiasso on a two-year deal.
The report goes on to claim that the Argentine has also urged Pearson to sign his compatriot Pablo Alvarez from Catania.
Leicester announced their return to the Premier League by holding Everton to a 2-2 draw on Saturday.
