Former Lille boss Herve Renard ready for return to management

Former Lille boss Herve Renard admits that he wants to return to management just one month removed from his ill-fated spell with Les Dogues.

Former Lille boss Herve Renard has revealed that he is ready to return to management following his sacking in November.

The 47-year-old was appointed as the club's manager in May following his triumph with the Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations.

However, he struggled immensely in his time with Les Dogues as they claimed just 13 points from their opening 13 matches in Ligue 1, which resulted in Renard being sacked by the club.

He told J + 1: "If someone offers me something tomorrow, I am ready. My bags are always ready to go because I have travelled a lot. I have worked in eight different countries. So I am ready to go.

"Today I am ready to go anywhere in the world. [My next job] will be abroad. Logic tells me that. I don't think that with the amount of time I have spent abroad I would be in the best condition to manage in France."

Renard has been linked with the vacant manager's post with Ghana.
