Tuesday's Champions League predictions including Barcelona vs. PSG

Sports Mole provides score predictions for both of Tuesday's Championship League last 16 ties - RB Leipzig vs. Liverpool and Barcelona vs. Paris Saint-Germain.

Budapest's Puskas Stadium will play host to the first leg of the Champions League last 16 tie between RB Leipzig and Liverpool on Tuesday night.

The first ever competitive meeting between the two sides will be held at the neutral venue due to coronavirus restrictions, and Liverpool will be looking to take advantage of Leipzig's lack of a home fixture in the two-legged tie.

We say: RB Leipzig 2-1 Liverpool

None of Leipzig's previous 22 Champions League games has ended goalless, so this contest should at least promise goals.

The German outfit have been denied home advantage and the neutral venue should give Liverpool a slight advantage over the tie as a whole, but the form book firmly points at a Leipzig victory in this match.

Liverpool's front three will always fancy their chances of getting a crucial away goal, but we expect them to leave themselves with a deficit to overturn in the second leg at Anfield next month.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Barcelona vs. PSG (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Nearly four years on from the infamous La Remontada, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain renew on-the-pitch hostilities in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 battle at Camp Nou on Tuesday evening.

Notwithstanding the importance of progressing to the quarter-finals for both sides, Barcelona and PSG have already locked horns off the pitch over soon-to-be free agent Lionel Messi, and all eyes will be on the Argentine this week.

The hosts warmed up for this game with a comfortable 5-1 thrashing of Alaves in La Liga, and while PSG also picked up a vital victory in the league at the weekend, the manner of their 2-1 triumph over Nice was not as dominant.

We say: Barcelona 2-1 Paris Saint-Germain

The absences of Neymar and Di Maria are sure to harm PSG's prospects of claiming a memorable victory on Barcelona's turf, and the hosts are likely to shuffle the pack - as opposed to a fatigued Parisiens outfit, who are having to deal with injuries in all areas of the pitch.

That is not to say that Pochettino's men cannot trouble the hosts this week - they should find the back of the net - but Barcelona are almost unplayable at the moment and Messi will certainly be fired up ahead of this meeting, so we expect Barca to take a narrow advantage into March's second leg.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.
