Paris Saint-Germain team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Barcelona

Sports Mole rounds up all of Paris Saint-Germain's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Tuesday's Champions League last-16 clash with Barcelona.

Last season's beaten finalists Paris Saint-Germain continue their quest for Champions League glory on Tuesday when they travel to Barcelona for the first leg of their last-16 tie.

Mauricio Pochettino will take charge of a Champions League match with PSG for the first time this week, after the Ligue 1 champions topped Group H to safely secure their passage into the next round under Thomas Tuchel.

The visitors head to Catalonia having won eight of their last nine games in all competitions, including a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Nice in Ligue 1 at the weekend.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of PSG's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their trip to Barcelona.

Neymar

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: Unknown

Neymar would have relished the chance to return to Camp Nou this week, but the Brazilian attacker has been ruled out until next month with the groin injury he suffered in the Coupe de France win over Caen, and it remains to be seen if he will return for the second leg.

Rafinha

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: February 16 (vs. Barcelona)

As is the case with his compatriot Neymar, Rafinha is struggling with a muscular problem and may not get the chance to turn out against his former club in midweek either, although he will be travelling with the team.

Marco Verratti

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: February 16 (vs. Barcelona)

Marco Verratti took a kick to the hip from Marseille's Dimitri Payet in Le Classique on February 7 - a challenge which the Frenchman was sent off for - but the PSG lynchpin has been included in the squad so has a chance of featuring.

Angel Di Maria

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Another casualty of the derby victory was Angel Di Maria, who was forced off after just 11 minutes due to a thigh injury, and Pochettino has confirmed that the Argentinian winger will miss this game.

Colin Dagba

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Colin Dagba has recovered after contracting coronavirus in January, but he has since been struggling with a thigh issue and is unlikely to make the trip to Catalonia.

Timothee Pembele

Status: Out
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: Unknown

Teenage centre-back Timothee Pembele returned a positive coronavirus test last week and remains in isolation, but he would not have been expected to start at Camp Nou anyway.

Juan Bernat

Status: Out
Type of injury: ACL
Possible return date: Unknown

Juan Bernat - whom Barcelona have been linked with recently - has been on the treatment table since suffering an ACL injury against Metz in September of last year, and he is not expected to return for at least another month.

PSG'S SUSPENSION LIST

PSG have no players suspended for the first leg.
