Captain Steven Gerrard has been ruled out of Liverpool's Europa League tie against Udinese tomorrow night through illness.

However, manager Brendan Rodgers has opted to call up a number of senior players for the match, which his side must win if they are to reach the last 32 of the competition.

Luis Suarez has been included, as has goalkeeper Pepe Reina and the defensive duo of Martin Skrtel and Glen Johnson.
