Liverpool new boy Samed Yesil is named on the bench for the Reds' Europa League clash with Young Boys, while Nuri Sahin is gifted a starting spot.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has named a relatively inexperienced side for their group clash against Young Boys in the Europa League.

Real Madrid loanee Nuri Sahin has been handed a spot in midfield alongside Jordan Henderson, Stewart Downing and Spanish youngster Suso.

Summer signing Samed Yesil will have to wait for his debut as he is placed on the bench along with Raheem Sterling. However, Dani Pacheco has been lined up as Liverpool's goal threat for the clash.

Reds defender Jamie Carragher will captain the side in the absence of Steven Gerrard, who has been rested for the clash.

Liverpool: Jones; Enrique, Coates, Carragher, Wisdom; Henderson, Sahin, Suso; Downing, Assaidi, Pacheco

Young Boys: Wolfli, Sutter, Veskovac, Ojala, Raimondi, Zverotic, Spycher, Zarate, Farnerud, Nuzzolo, Bobadilla
