Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has urged the club's supporters to create an intimidating atmosphere for visitors Liverpool in the Carling Cup tie at the Britannia Stadium this evening.
The Potters have already defeated the Reds 1-0 on home turf in the Premier League this season, and Pulis is hoping that they can recreate the win.
"Our home record is a proud one and due in no small measure to the tremendous backing we've had from our supporters," Pulis told the club's official website.
"We will have our work cut out, but I am sure that our fans will raise their game like the players will have to raise theirs if we are to get the right result.
"There will be a tremendous atmosphere for another cup game here, but I hope a few more will decide come along to lend their support because we'll need it. The very mention of Liverpool being in town should encourage them to come along."
The Carling Cup clash takes place at the Britannia Stadium tonight.
