Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher could follow in the footsteps of Steven Gerrard by agreeing a long-term deal with the club.
Skipper Gerrard signed a new deal this week which will see him end his playing days with the club before taking on an ambassador's role, and Carragher could be handed the same opportunity.
"We will have the same conversation with Carra. It's important to keep people around the place who have been such great servants," Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish told The Sun.
Carragher, 33, has made 683 appearances for the club.
