Former Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has revealed that he is excited by the blossoming strike partnership of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge.
The duo have scored nine goals between them so far this season to help the Reds move up to second place in the Premier League table.
Despite having only played together a handful of times, Dalglish is impressed by the understanding that Suarez and Sturridge have developed.
"It is a pleasure to see how well things are going at Liverpool at a time when the club has made such a fine start to the season," the Scot told The Mirror.
"It is nice to be able to talk about a striker partnership at Liverpool, too, because so many clubs are playing one up these days that there aren't many partnerships around.
"The partnership between Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge is still in its infancy but it looks very promising. In a short space of time, they seem to have established a great understanding with each other."
Liverpool legend Dalglish recently returned to the club in the role of a non-executive director.
