Jurgen Klopp 'has no plans to overhaul Liverpool squad'

Jurgen Klopp reportedly tells Liverpool bosses that he can guide the Reds to the top four without making major changes in the team this season.

Jurgen Klopp reportedly has no intention of making major changes to the Liverpool team when he is appointed as manager.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss could be announced as Liverpool's new leader at some point today as talks have reached an advanced stage.

According to The Mirror, Klopp is confident that he can achieve Champions League qualification with the Reds this season by only making a few minor changes to personnel.

The 48-year-old is believed to be excited by the prospect of Roberto Firmino and believes that Christian Benteke, Daniel Sturridge, Danny Ings and Divock Origi can all provide an attacking threat.

The report adds that Klopp will recommend to the club's transfer committee that a centre-back and perhaps a full-back, with Neven Subotic in mind, should be bought in the January transfer window.

Klopp's impending arrival comes following the sacking of Brendan Rodgers three hours after Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Everton on Sunday.
