Dejan Lovren eyeing victory over Manchester City

Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren believes that his side can bounce back from their loss to Crystal Palace by beating Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has insisted that his side have the ability to take all three points from their Premier League clash against Manchester City.

The Reds suffered their first defeat under the tenure of Jurgen Klopp in their loss to Crystal Palace last time out, but Lovren believes that he and his teammates can issue the perfect response by beating the Citizens in their match at the Etihad Stadium.

He told the club's official website: "It's a tough place, definitely, but we know how we can win against Manchester City. We showed that last time we played against them at home. We just need to be patient; we don't need to rush, we need to be patient with the ball.

"It will be a tough game – they have quality players. But at this moment we are in good form and have a good mentality. We definitely didn't have what we expected in the last game – to win against Crystal Palace – and that was a little down for us.

"But we are back now after the international break and we are looking forward to playing against Manchester City."

Liverpool are 10th in the Premier League ahead of their meeting with City later today.
