Brendan Rodgers to make late decision on Daniel Sturridge inclusion

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will wait 48 hours until making a decision regarding Daniel Sturridge's availability for Monday's match against Crystal Palace.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that he will wait 48 hours to decide on whether Daniel Sturridge will feature against Crystal Palace on Monday evening.

The England international came off the bench in last Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Chelsea, but Rodgers has admitted that he's still struggling with a hamstring issue.

"We'll see over the next 48 hours," Rodgers told reporters. "He hadn't trained since he got injured in the [Manchester City game], so it was a bit much [against Chelsea].

"But he's certainly in a much better place. He's worked tirelessly this week with the medical team. He re-joins the group and we'll see how he is come Monday."

Liverpool are currently two points clear at the top of the Premier League table with as many games left to play.
