Sandro compares Philippe Coutinho to Ronaldinho

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro believes that Philippe Coutinho's passing ability is as good as that of Brazilian legend Ronaldinho.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro has compared his Brazilian compatriot and Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho to the legendary Ronaldinho.

The 24-year-old believes that Coutinho's style of football is similar to that of the former Barcelona attacker, who led Brazil to the 2002 World Cup triumph.

"With the ball, Coutinho's passes are like Ronaldinho's," The Mirror quotes Sandro as saying. "His passes are good, man. He doesn't move a lot. But his passing! You think he is going to pass here and he passes there instead.

"He does the same as Ronaldinho. You think he's going to do one thing, and he does something completely different. He changes.

"Ronaldinho was the best player, but I think their style is similar. I'm happy for him. He is young but he starts good at Liverpool. It is difficult to do that at Liverpool."

Tottenham will host Liverpool at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Sunday.
