Newcastle United's Steven Taylor eyes Liverpool upset at Anfield

Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor says that the team are determined to finish the season "well" against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor has insisted that he and his teammates are full of confidence heading into Sunday's match against Liverpool at Anfield.

The Magpies ended a run of six consecutive defeats by sending Cardiff City down to the Championship with a 3-0 victory at St James' Park.

The North-East outfit will head into the final game of the season against a Liverpool side who need to win in order to keep themselves in contention for the Premier League title.

"Scoring three goals and keeping a clean sheet has given us something to shout about leading into the Liverpool game, and we want to finish the season well," the Daily Star quotes Taylor as saying.

Newcastle, who currently reside ninth in the league table, cannot finish outside the top 10.
