The Crown Prosecution Service have reportedly decided not to press charges against a Liverpool supporter that was accused of racially abusing Oldham Athletic midfielder Tom Adeyemi.
The 20-year-old was reduced to tears during his side's FA Cup tie at Anfield when he went to retrieve a ball from the Kop End.
Adeyemi appeared to confront a fan before being dragged away by players from both teams.
He went on to make a statement to Merseyside Police, before a 20-year-old suspect from Aintree was identified from CCTV footage, arrested and bailed.
However, lawyers have opted not prosecute after a number of other Liverpool fans came forward to give evidence in his support, according to The Manchester Evening News.
Adeyemi is currently on loan at Oldham from Norwich City.
