Roberto Firmino is only named on the bench for Liverpool's Premier League fixture with West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.

Roberto Firmino has only been named on the bench for Liverpool's Premier League fixture with West Bromwich Albion.

Liverpool face Roma in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday night, and Firmino is one of a number of players to be rested by manager Jurgen Klopp.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dejan Lovren, Andrew Robertson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all feature on the bench with the visit of the Italian giants in mind, but Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah both start.

Joe Gomez is named in the first XI after recovering from an ankle injury, while Danny Ings is given the chance to impress down the middle instead of Dominic Solanke.

As for West Brom, caretaker boss Darren Moore has decided to select an unchanged starting lineup after last week's 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

West Bromwich Albion: Foster; Nyom, Dawson, Hegazi, Gibbs; Livermore, Brunt; Phillips, Rodriguez, McClean; Rondon
Subs: Myhill, Robson-Kanu, Yacob, Evans, Burke, Krychowiak, Field

Liverpool: Karius; Gomez, Van Dijk, Klavan, Moreno; Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum; Mane, Salah, Ings
Subs: Mignolet, Lovren, Firmino, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Robertson, Solanke, Alexander-Arnold
