Jurgen Klopp insists that "everything is possible" as he refuses to rule out a return to action for Liverpool pair Adam Lallana and Emre Can over the next month.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that injured midfielders Adam Lallana and Emre Can may yet return to action before the end of the season.

Lallana has been sent to South Africa to undergo further treatment on his hamstring, while Can has been sidelined for more than a month with a back complaint.

With Liverpool battling for a top-four finish in the Premier League and aiming to reach the final of the Champions League, however, Klopp will give both players every chance of a comeback in the coming weeks.

"There is nothing really new about Adam or Emre," he told reporters ahead of Saturday's meeting with West Bromwich Albion. "They are in a good way but we will see towards the end of the season what that means. Everything is possible. They could be part of the squad again this season or not."

Klopp also confirmed that Joel Matip is on course for a pre-season return, while Nathaniel Clyne is doubtful with a muscular issue, but Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren are back available to face West Brom.
