Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Watford at Anfield.

Liverpool may be forced to make do without Trent Alexander-Arnold for Saturday's early Premier League kickoff with Watford at Anfield.

The right-back sustained a hamstring injury just before the international break, but the issue has not proven as serious as first feared and he has a slight chance of being available for Saturday.

Andy Robertson and James Milner should both be available after recent COVID-19 woes, but Naby Keita pulled out of international duty with a knee issue and will need assessing.

Joe Gomez is set to continue at right-back in Alexander-Arnold's likely absence this weekend, with Joel Matip enjoying an extended break over the past couple of weeks and set to link up with Virgil van Dijk once more.

Jurgen Klopp has some big calls to make further up the field, but Thiago Alcantara was also left at home during the international break and should be fine to join Fabinho and Jordan Henderson this weekend.

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane - the former of whom was targeted by laser pointers during Egypt's World Cup 2022 qualifying loss to Senegal - will also need to be checked over after going the distance in their pivotal international clash.

Salah will want to immediately put that penalty miss and defeat behind him and could feature on the right, while Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino are seemingly the most likely options to complete the forward line.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Gomez, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago; Salah, Firmino, Jota
