Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester City could line up for Sunday's Premier League clash with Liverpool.

Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku will require a last-minute fitness test to determine his availability for Sunday's Premier League showdown with Liverpool at Anfield.

The Belgian attacker was unavailable for the midweek Champions League beating of Copenhagen due to muscular problems, and Pep Guardiola unsurprisingly gave little away in his pre-game press conference.

As things stand, Jack Grealish is the only definite absentee for the visitors due to his groin issue, while Matheus Nunes suffered a gut-wrenching dislocated finger in midweek and needs a once-over too.

However, Julian Alvarez is the most likely candidate to start on the left if Doku is not given the green light to play, while 17-goal hotshot Phil Foden will come back into the fold in place of Oscar Bobb.

Guilty of the miss of the Premier League season against Manchester United before finding the mark in the second half, Erling Haaland leads the line after netting his 41st Champions League goal, taking just 37 games to hit that tally.

Rodri's place in midfield is not in any danger, and the well-rested pairing of Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne are primed to return alongside the Spaniard, forcing Mateo Kovacic back down to the bench.

A trio of changes at the back will also see Kyle Walker, Nathan Ake and John Stones take the spots of Rico Lewis, Josko Gvardiol and Manuel Akanji, but Ruben Dias and Ederson's usual spots are safe.

Manchester City possible starting lineup:
Ederson; Walker, Dias, Stones, Ake; Silva, Rodri, De Bruyne; Foden, Haaland, Alvarez
