Liverpool attacker Diogo Jota could make his first Premier League start since mid-October when the Reds square up to Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Portugal international has been restricted to cameos off the bench since recovering from an abdominal injury, but he made his mark and then some in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.
Indeed, Jota headed in the Reds' equaliser with his first touch, in turn scoring Liverpool's quickest Premier League substitute goal on record after just 22 seconds before being denied a winner by Matz Sels's wonderful goalkeeping.
Luis Diaz did not cut the mustard up front at the City Ground, so there is every chance that Arne Slot will promote Jota to the first XI on Saturday, where Darwin Nunez will also return from suspension.
The misfiring Uruguayan is very much out of favour at Liverpool right now, though, so Jota should operate down the middle as Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo provide the wide threat.
Slot has frequently chopped and changed in the number 10 position this season and could do so again here with games coming thick and fast, meaning that Curtis Jones should displace Dominik Szoboszlai in the number 10 slot, but there should be no reprieve for Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister.
The same goes for Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate, but Andy Robertson did not have his finest hour at the City Ground, where Kostas Tsimikas also set up Jota's first-touch leveller with a first-touch corner.
The Greece international could not have done more to start for Liverpool, who are only without Joe Gomez (hamstring) due to injury.
Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Salah, Jones, Gakpo; Jota
