The agent of Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca has confirmed that Liverpool are one of two English clubs keen on signing his client this summer.
The 28-year-old has been linked to the Reds and Manchester United in recent days, but the Spanish club's sporting director Monchi today said that no bids had been lodged.
The Colombia international - currently at Copa America - is said to have a £21.5m buyout clause, and his agent Sergio Barila says that he will not leave until one of his suitors bids the necessary amount.
"We have had lots of interest but so far there has been no official approach," he told The Guardian.
"I spoke with Carlos on Wednesday night and we agreed we need a real solution. Clubs are telling him not to sign anything until they have made an offer but we are still waiting.
"Liverpool and another English club are among that have shown an interest but there are also clubs in Italy. What is clear is that they must meet the release clause but at this stage nobody has."
Bacca, whose contract expires in 2018, netted 28 goals in all competitions for the Rojiblancos last season.
