Agent: Raheem Sterling "definitely not signing" new Liverpool contract

Aidy Ward, the agent of Raheem Sterling, insists that the England international will "definitely not" sign a new contract at Liverpool this summer.

The agent of Raheem Sterling has reiterated once more that the Liverpool star has no intention of signing a new contract at the club.

Sterling is expected to leave Anfield this summer following the high-profile breakdown of transfer talks, with Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal all said to be interested.

In an interview with BBC Sport last month, the England international revealed that he had turned down a contract worth £100,000 a week, and now his representative Aidy Ward has declared that no money in the world will keep the youngster in place.

"I don't care about the PR of the club and the club situation. I don't care," he told the London Evening Standard. "He is definitely not signing. He's not signing for £700, £800, £900 thousand a week. He is not signing.

"My job is to make sure I do the best with [my clients]. If people say I am bad at my job, or they are badly advised it does not matter."

Sterling, who has scored 12 goals for the Reds this season, is expected to hold further talks over his future with manager Brendan Rodgers and chief executive Ian Ayre tomorrow afternoon.
