Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp 'resigned to Emre Can exit'

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp reportedly gives up hope of convincing Emre Can to remain at Anfield past the end of the season.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly accepted that midfielder Emre Can will leave the club at the end of the season.

Can has just six months remaining on his contract at Anfield, and Liverpool have made several attempts to convince the 23-year-old to pen a new deal.

However, Juventus have long been tipped as Can's next destination and according to Corriere dello Sport, Klopp is resigned to watching the German international leave Merseyside.

The Serie A giants remain favourites for his signature, but Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund all hold an interest in signing Can on a free transfer.

Klopp will reportedly replace Can with Schalke 04's Leon Goretzka, who is said to be ready to announce a move to Liverpool ahead of next season.
