Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is said to have "personally called" Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas in an attempt to convince him to move to Merseyside.
The Reds are rumoured to be looking at new options between the sticks following Simon Mignolet's shaky start to the season, which has seen him concede 19 goals in his 11 appearances to date.
According to Diario Gol, Klopp recently got in touch with Costa Rica international Navas to discuss "a potential move at the end of the season" amid the player's own uncertain situation at the Bernabeu.
The 30-year-old is said to be unhappy in the Spanish capital and feels as if he is not fully appreciated by president Florentino Perez, who has been repeatedly linked with making moves for David de Gea and Thibaut Courtois over the last two years.
Navas, who has been at Madrid for over three years, has missed the club's last three league games due to a groin injury.
