Liverpool 'have dressing room concerns over Thiago Alcantara deal'

Liverpool reportedly have concerns that the arrival of Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara could impact the togetherness in the dressing room.

Liverpool are reportedly questioning whether they need to sign another central midfielder this summer.

For a number of weeks, the Premier League champions have been heavily linked with an approach for Thiago Alcantara, who wishes to depart Bayern Munich.

While it remains unclear whether a fee has been agreed between the relevant parties, the Spaniard is already said to have agreed personal terms.

However, according to The Independent, Liverpool are yet to reach a final decision over whether to push through a deal for the 29-year-old.

With Thiago likely to command a regular starting role, the report claims that there are fears that the playmaker would disrupt the togetherness in the dressing room.

Much could depend on whether Liverpool are able to agree a new contract with Georginio Wijnaldum, who has less than a year left on his contract.
