Liverpool make Lucas Alario bid?

Liverpool have made an offer of just under £6m for River Plate striker Lucas Alario, but the Argentine club want closer to £8.5m, according to a report.

Liverpool have reportedly offered just shy of £6m for River Plate striker Lucas Alario.

The 23-year-old joined River Plate from Colon last summer on a four-year contract and was part of the team that lost 3-0 to Barcelona in the 2015 Club World Cup final.

The Argentine has struck five goals in 10 appearances for River and his form is believed to have attracted the attention of a number of European clubs, including Inter Milan.

According to Infobae, Liverpool have offered a little under £6m, but the Argentine club are holding out for £8.5m.

The same report also claims that Ajax want to entice Alario to the Netherlands.
