Liverpool see Benfica's Lazar Markovic as Adam Lallana alternative?

Liverpool reportedly see Benfica's Lazar Markovic as an alternative to Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana.

Liverpool have reportedly turned their attention to Benfica winger Lazar Markovic as they continue to wait on Southampton with regards to Adam Lallana.

The Merseyside outfit are said to have offered £25m for Lallana, but the Saints are believed to be holding out for an increased offer.

According to The Metro, the Reds see Markovic as an alternative to the England international, and could snap up the Serbian for £25m after Benfica relaxed their asking price.

Reports have claimed that Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers fears Markovic will be sold elsewhere while the Reds continue to wait on Southampton.
