Liverpool have reportedly indicated to Virgil van Dijk that they are ready to hand him a new long-term contract.
The centre-back has been a revelation since moving to Anfield in January 2018, making 76 appearances in all competitions and guiding the club to the Champions League trophy.
The 28-year-old still has just under four years remaining on his existing deal, taking him until the end of the 2022-23 campaign, but it appears that the Merseyside giants are ready to improve the Dutchman's current terms.
According to 90 min, Liverpool intend to double Van Dijk's wages, while adding at least another 12 months to his time in the North-West.
The report claims that the defender would stand to earn in the region of £250,000 per week, moving him in line with the biggest earners at the club.
