Liverpool to offer new deals to Roberto Firmino, Ben Woodburn?

Liverpool are reportedly preparing to offer new contracts to both Roberto Firmino and Ben Woodburn in the near future.

Liverpool have reportedly decided to try to secure the long-term futures of both Roberto Firmino and Ben Woodburn.

The Merseyside giants have endured an indifferent start to the new campaign, with the club sitting seven points off the pace in the Premier League table and having only recorded draws in their first two Champions League fixtures.

However, according to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds are ready to make their move to keep hold of the services of both Firmino and Woodburn, who are seen as a key part of Jurgen Klopp's long-term plans.

Firmino has contributed 27 goals in 101 appearances in all competitions since signing from Hoffenheim in 2015 and although the Brazilian still has just under three years remaining on his contract, Liverpool are keen to offer the attacker a new deal.

Despite his exploits for Wales, teenager Woodburn remains on the periphery of the first-team squad at Anfield, but Klopp wants to hand the youngster improved terms as soon as he turns 18 on October 15.

Woodburn has made a total of 10 appearances since being introduced to the Liverpool senior setup.
