Liverpool to turn down West Ham United's bid for Andy Carroll?

Liverpool will reportedly reject West Ham United's proposal to take Andy Carroll on loan with an option to buy next summer.

Liverpool are reportedly expected to rebuff West Ham United's offer to take striker Andy Carroll on loan with an option to buy.

Reports had emerged yesterday claiming that the Hammers are poised to launch a £15m bid to buy the England international but only if he is allowed to join Upton Park on a season-long temporary deal.

It is thought that the Merseyside club will reject their proposal as they are reluctant to let the 23-year-old leave Anfield on loan and would prefer a permanent sale, according to the Daily Mail.

Carroll's former club Newcastle United are also thought to be interested in taking the striker on loan. However, it is believed that Liverpool would accept a £20m bid from potential suitors as they try to avoid taking a hit on the £35m they paid for the frontman in January 2011.
