RB Leipzig reveal that they have rejected a £66m offer from Liverpool for midfielder Naby Keita.

Liverpool have been knocked back once again by RB Leipzig after upping their offer for Naby Keita to £66m.

The Reds have been pursuing the Guinea international for some time, but they have so far been unsuccessful.

Recently, the Merseyside outfit had a £57m bid turned down as the Bundesliga club stand firm on their stance that Keita will not be sold this summer.

Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz has told German publication Sport1 that there was "no way" that the club were going to accept the Reds' improved offer.

"We want to improve and consolidate the club," he added. "We do not sell any players who are still under contract just to make a lot of money."

Leipzig are keen for Keita to pen a new contract.
