Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius could reportedly head back to Anfield in January after an underwhelming stint at Union Berlin.
The German shot-stopper joined the Bundesliga outfit on loan in the summer but is yet to make a top-flight appearance for the club as 33-year-old Andreas Luthe remains Urs Fischer's number one.
Karius recently made his debut for Union Berlin in the DFB-Pokal, but the 27-year-old shipped three goals as Fischer's side were knocked out by second-tier side Paderborn.
Now, German outlet Kicker reports that Karius's loan spell at Union Berlin is expected to be cut short and the goalkeeper will head back to Merseyside in January.
Karius, who still has 18 months left to run on his current Liverpool deal, was a regular for Besiktas during his two-year loan spell in Turkey, but the shot-stopper is believed to have fallen out with club chiefs as his time in the Super Lig ended in May.
