Newcastle United have reportedly offered Andy Carroll the chance to rejoin the club on a season-long loan deal.
The Liverpool striker has been linked with a temporary switch away from Anfield in recent days, with Fulham, West Ham United and Aston Villa all thought to be interested in the England international.
The Magpies have now made a move to take the 23-year-old on loan for the upcoming campaign with the option to buy him permanently, according to Sky Sports News.
Carroll joined Liverpool from Newcastle in January 2011 for a club record £35m.
