Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has refused to rule out a loan move for Liverpool striker Andy Carroll.
The England international has been linked with a host of clubs ahead of the new Premier League season, including Fulham and West Ham United.
Lambert has now said that he would be interested in a temporary deal for the 23-year-old.
"He's a top player and not one I would dismiss," the Scot told Sky Sports News.
Lambert was appointed as Villa boss last month following a three-year spell with Norwich City.
